The Farm is situated in an area that has mainly gypsum to clayish soil with patches of rocky areas. The soil is clearly highly conducive for water retention; hence the offering of good sweet grass pastures, and shrubs throughout the year. Carrying capacity is estimated at 15 ha per big stock and 6 per small stock. The grassland is obviously very suitable for cattle/game farming, but the different species of bush and shrubs offer very real opportunities for supplementary small-stock farming. The soil is next to the prominent river seems very soft and fertile and even suitable for some selected crop farming. The rainfall patterns for this area indicate an average of 370 mm (normal) to an above average of 450 mm per annum. One big river and several branches of smaller rivers and streams run through the farm offering a good supply of underground aquifers that sustains the water supply of the entire farm throughout the year. The topographic profile of the land includes only smaller high hillsides that render the entire farm entirely accessible for optimizing gracing throughout the year. The farm is situated in an area that offers several indigenous bush types that somehow also pose a threat to bush encroachments, although still on a controllable scale. However, since the client is actively engaging in charcoal producing and marketing clearing the bush offers benefits for more gracing land as well as some significant additional cash spinoff opportunities in the process. All structures on the farm, including the main house (114m2) garages with several stores and a small flat (185m2), Manager’s house (80m2), and workers' houses (180m2) are all brand new and been constructed over the last eight months’ period. The main Farm structures include a well-finished three-bedroom main house with a two-bedroom house for the Farm manager on the verge of being finished. A brand new shed (510m2) is also under construction at the moment. The farmstead and most operations are supplied with electrical power by a diesel generator, while provision is made to convert the power supply to a comprehensive solar system in the future. The Nampower main grit is also crossing the farm, which makes it possible to source electricity directly from the nearest transformer situated on the neighboring farm. Good quality constructed housing units exists for farm workers. Kraals around the borehole (windmill) are presently undergoing a complete revamp, while all cattle pens for animal activities had been constructed from scratch. Other improvements include 15 well-fenced-in stock-proof inside camps. 5 boreholes of which 3 three functionally refurbished boreholes exist on the farm. The solar systems had already been acquired to refurbish all to, functional capacity in early next year. Two main reservoirs with a capacity of 50 000-liter of water exist with three ground dams well spread to catch water in strategic areas during rainy seasons as a source of water for a number of game species on the farm. The entire perimeter of the farm is fenced in with brand new, 2.4-meter-high (21 string) game-proof, with only a portion of about 4 km, which is still outstanding, but had been interrupted by the holiday season and construction had to be suspended for completion in the new year. The farm is also crowded with a number of antelope species, like Oryx, Kudu, and Eland, roaming the farm, with warthog, Zebra, and a number of smaller buck species also readily noticed.
