The property is located close to Omaruru, a small picturesque town that provides all necessities and services. Most of the major private game reserves such as Erindi, Mount Etjo, Otjiwa, Epako and Kasandara are situated in the Omaruru-Otjiwarongo-Okahandja triangle. The location is excellent; Omaruru is only 250 km from Windhoek, 250 km from Swakopmund at the coast and 300 km from Etosha National Park and access is provided by excellent tarred roads. The climate is exceptional with moderate temperatures, lots of sunshine and an average rainfall of 350 mm per annum. The interesting landscape and topography together with the botanical diversity provide a special habitat for a wide range of game species to strive. In fact, all game species in Namibia from the smallest antelope, the Damara Dik-Dik, to the largest elephants can be found in this region and also a wide range of reptiles and a rich birdlife. At this stage Kassandara does not keep Elephants and Rhino, but all other game species endemic to Namibia are roaming freely on the land. The main farmstead overlooks the Okozondara River and is surrounded by large umbrella thorn trees. The infrastructure is immaculate. The total area of the farm is 8 837 ha and it is enclosed by a 2,4 m high game fence on the borders. The undulating landscape is beautiful and provides for dry river beds, grass plains and typical bush-veldt areas with a diversity of plant species dominated by Acacia trees and shrubs. The infrastructure is of excellent quality and compares with the best In Namibia. Main residence comprises 4-bedrooms with three bathrooms, family room, kitchen / dining area and lounge. It has wide thatch roof verandas tight around. Adjacent to this is a large three bay thatch roof vehicle parking area for three vehicles and newly developed gardens right around. The main building houses the reception, office, lounge (with fireplace), dining area, kitchen, bar and wide veranda area overlooking the waterhole and swimming pool of 9m long. There is also an open stoep area with a small thatch roof under which the Spa bath is located. Sitting in the spa, you have a view over the water hole. A big boma with fire place, also overlooking the water hole compliments the main building. The hunters are accommodated in a guest unit with 6 en-suite bedrooms, very spacious and nicely furnished with a lounge area as well. A flat with a games room and Gym is available for family groups. Other infrastructures include a laundry, a guide room, slaughtering facilities (fully equipped), a butchery with large walk in cold room, dairy room, trophy store, engine room with back-up power supply, another cold room, an operational office with two sets of two way radio systems with own repeater. Huge lock-up stores, workshop fully equipped with a lot of loose tools, welding plants etc. The whole farmstead is fenced in by either nice stone walling or new game fences. Water is supplied by nine operational boreholes with 13 x 10 000 litre backup water tanks. Six big earth dams were constructed. Nampower supplies the three phase electricity to the farm.
